Given that it is summer and it is very hot, I thought I would bring you a cold drink, fragrant and full of vitamins. It cooks very quickly and you need very few ingredients.

RECIPE PREPARATION Cold drink with milk and frozen banana:

Cut the banana slices. We put it on a plate and put it in the freezer. Leave for at least 4 hours (I left from evening to morning).

The study called 'Empty Calories and Phantom Satiety' was conducted by Dr. Guido Camps and colleagues at Wageningen University in the Netherlands, with the aim of studying the relative effects and interactions between viscosity and caloric density on gastric emptying and perceived satiety.

The researchers conducted an experiment with fifteen male participants who were given to drink four types of milk-based smoothies, with different consistencies (thick and watery) and different caloric densities (from 100 to 500 calories).

Study participants underwent a series of abdominal scans and were asked to rate satiety on a scale of 1 to 100 every 10 minutes after digestion for an hour and a half.

The 100-calorie aqueous smoothie had the fastest gastric emptying, followed by the 100-calorie smoothie and the 500-calorie aqueous smoothie. In terms of appetite, the 100-calorie smoothie has a higher degree of satiety than the 500-calorie watery smoothie.

The results of the study bring great news for those who want to lose weight without constantly facing the feeling of hunger. The consistency of the drink is more important than the caloric density in maintaining the feeling of satiety, so the next time you eat smoothies add as little milk as possible.

If I use fruits with small seeds (raspberries, blackberries, currants), I pass the drink through a sieve after removing it from the blender jar. As for the proportions, I think they have to come to taste, and here they are each on their own. However, I can tell you that I add 250-280 grams of fruit to a liter of milk. I don't like the drink to be too thick, too thick.

I'm not afraid to use herbs, but I'm careful not to jump the horse. Basil and strawberry match, tarragon and peach match, mint and raspberry match, lemon goes almost anywhere, but beware, too much of any flavored leaf can push the taste of milk drink in the wrong direction.
